Honor Roll Students Earn Roller Skating Party
Eighty-one honor roll students took a morning off from classes to go skating at Northland Roller Rink in Southfield on November 26.
The skating party is an annual reward given by Principal Michael Horn to those students who maintain good grades.
Students were bused to the rink from school and bused back in time for lunch and afternoon classes.
Senior Jade Gaines, who attended the skating party, said, “I enjoyed getting out of school and eating something different besides school lunches.” She said, “I also enjoyed the small fun activities like laser tag.”
Fellow senior Calvin Graves, who has attended three skating parties over the years, said, “I liked skating with my friends and spending extra time with them.”
