To increase the number of students who receive tutoring services after school, the tutors have relocated.
The National Honor Society (NHS) tutors have moved from C-105 to B-106 to be closer to the athletic study hall held after school in the B House cafeteria, says NHS sponsor Bruce Shepard.
“It used to be two or less students coming,” says Shepard. Now the tutors see more than a dozen students for after-school help, Shepard says.
Varsity Football player Chase Pratt said, “It has been helpful, and I’ve earned an ‘A’ on one of my quizzes as a result of the tutoring.”
The move was suggested by Football Coach Tim Conley to keep the players close to assistance.
Tutoring is held every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
