Big Show Head to Joe Louis Arena

Detroit’s own rapper, Big Sean, is scheduled to return to his home town for a show at the Joe Louis Arena on June 14 with artists J. Cole, Trey Songz, Kendrick Lamar and Ty Dolla Sign (a.k.a. Tyrone Griffin) headlining the concert with him.

Channel 955 and WJLB FM-98 radio station are promoting what could be the biggest start-studded concert of the summer.

This is the first time that Big Sean is scheduled to give a concert in town since his last concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills in December of last year.

J. Cole is no stranger to the city, either with his last concert at the DTE Music Theater last summer.

This will arguably be the hottest concert of the summer if not the year with all of these artists that are currently killing the charts with their music.

Tickets went on sale April 18 for the arena that has a capacity of 20,000.

At press time, remaining tickets ranged from $65 to $615.

Another upcoming concerts of note in the Detroit area is the rap group Doughboyz Cashout at the Crofoot Ballroom, in Pontiac, scheduled for Friday, May 9. Tickets for that show are available on line or at the Crofoot box office.
