Hillary Clinton Visits Detroit Church
Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton dropped in at a Detroit church over the weekend, while campaigning in Michigan.
The former Secretary of State spoke to the members of the Russell Street Missionary Baptist Church to commend the church on its 100th anniversary.
In her comments she spoke about the condition of Detroit’s public schools and the Flint water crisis. “I’m tired of seeing mold in our Detroit Public Schools,” Clinton said. “ I’ve seen this community struggle, trying to stand up, and I want to help this community get back on its feet again.”
Clinton said she wanted to see Detroit “rise out the ashes like the phoenix.”
“I believe Mrs. Clinton will be a great president, and that beautiful speech grabbed my vote,” said church member Ashlee Edwards.
Clinton was in Michigan for the Democratic Presidential Debate, in Flint, where she traded barbs with her opponent, Bernie Sanders.

This is reporting at its finest. Great idea writing a story about something outside of Southfield High.
