Southfield High school’s wrestling team is scheduled to host the Oakland County Wrestling tournament December 20 at 3 p.m.

Twenty-five schools have registered to attend, said wrestling coach Tim Conley.

“It’s the second largest tournament in the United States,” said Conley.

The wrestling team has two girl wrestlers, juniors Joelle Jamerson who wrestles at 130 pounds for the junior varsity, and Adriana Echols, who wrestles at 145 pounds for junior varsity.

Jamerson said she is ready for her second tournament and hopes to win every match she gets.
