Alexus Phillips has been elected president of the Class of 2016.

All other sophomore officers ran unopposed.

Lyric Menton was elected vice-president, Samina Moorehead is secretary, Paige O’Neal is Treasurer, Breanna Cross is corresponding secretary, Darrius Hicks is sergeant of arms and Ariell Sydes is historian.

O’Neal said, “I knew a lot of people were going to run for president, and so I decided to just run for treasurer.”

The six who ran unopposed automatically earned their position, according to Class of 2016 sponsor Nesha Harper.
