The Project Woman club collected 72 sets of hats and gloves for those in need this winter.
All of the collected items were donated to the Orchard Family Services of Oakland County, said Project Woman sponsor Kim Wardell-Stone.
This receiving organization deals with independent living situations, foster care and adoptive families.
Project Woman aims to help young ladies better themselves into women, said Wardell-Stone.
Sophomore Breanca Adams is a member of Project Woman. She says, “It was really fun to do because I enjoyed getting to help others.”
With all of the trouble that the economy is facing, it was a great deed to give back to the community during the holiday season, Adams said.
