Passion for Pink to Support a Cause

During the week of Monday October 22,2018, through Friday October 26, 2018, Southfield High School A&T  will be raising money for breast cancer research, as well as showing our support by saying that we are here to help this fight. Students were encouraged to donate any small or large amount toward research, as well as various competitions and fundraisers throughout the week.

Students were able to place their name and small quotes on inspirational decorations placed throughout the building. This was all culminated on Friday, when students were allowed to walk two laps or more on the track during the “Pink Out”.

During the event, students were encouraged to wear pink and support our marvelous band during a breathtaking, tear jerking performance during first and second lunches. As the band created a breast cancer ribbon in the center of the field, seniors were allowed to join them by standing in the center of the ribbon.

Southfield High School A&T always strives for greatness, and this event highlighted the empathy and compassion which every student feels for those with cancer and the never ending fight for a cure.

You never know who may be diagnosed, and we wish all of our breast cancer patients, family of patients, and survivors the best of luck.

We are with you, your struggle will not go unnoticed!!
