Here’s a wrap-up of the fall sports teams and their seasons:
Freshman Football
The freshman football team finished their season undefeated, causing heads to turn.
“I’m a little sad it’s over though,” freshman running back Omaury Rodgers said.
JV Football
The Junior Varsity Football Team finished the season with a record of 8 wins and one loss.
Cross Country
The team ran three jamborees and had 15 members. They averaged seventh place in their division.
Junior Markus Spencer of the Cross Country team says, “It was difficult at first, and then as time progressed it became easier” to complete the distance runs required of the team.
Boy’s Tennis
The team finished with 3 wins and 8 losses. “Not bad for a building season,” Coach Ernie Taber said, “We had two tournaments, regionals and the OAA League.”
Volleyball
The volleyball team won its fifth consecutive district championship with the help of senior Jade Ware (see related feature story on Ware). They were able to advance to semi-regionals.
