Last year’s yearbooks are scheduled to arrive Oct. 18, said English teacher Karen Melton, who advised the graduation class of 2011 and oversaw the yearbook publication.
“We included prom and graduation,” so the book was not ready for students before they graduated, Melton said.
For $45, the book will have 72 pages, all in color, Melton said.
This year’s yearbook advisers are science teacher Kimberly Wardell-Stone and bookkeeper Angie MacNeal.
Wardell-Stone says they are aiming for a May delivery this year and the price will be the same – $45.
Former Southfield High student Jatorie Anderson, who graduated last year and now attends Oakland University, said she does not mind the late delivery: “With senior dues, prom and all the other activities, the yearbook wasn’t my top priority.”
