Many Americans are rejoicing with the news of Osama Bin Laden’s death. But Bin Laden was one man, one person, whose cruel acts paved the way for terrorist attacks, more specifically the attack on the World Trade Center.
What’s done is done. Those deeds have been performed, and now that the terrorists have been set rolling, there is no way that it’ll come to a stop anytime soon. In the minds of the radical Muslims, we have done them a great injustice on multiple occasions. By occupying their country, they believe that we impede them and their religion, giving them the right to kill us.
In the shadow of every villainous man controlling such an organization as Al Qaeda, there is always someone willing and able to take his place.
From a young age we were all taught that “an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.” Although Bin Laden was cruel, belligerent and heartless, he was still a person. Most religions teach us to help everyone, to pray for everyone and most importantly to forgive. That even goes for Bin Laden. Despite this, you find people of all religions dancing in the streets to celebrate the death of another human.
People should celebrate justice, not death. They should be happy that suffering families got their closure, but there shouldn’t be so much gloating in the streets of America.
