The Southfield Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) plans to host a Teens Against Drunk Driving event on April 29, at St. John’s Church in Southfield.
The official name of the event is S.A.A.F.E., which stands for Students Advocating an Alcohol Free Environment.
The event will have guest speakers to talk about drunk driving and its effects, along with simulators and goggles for teens to try and see how it feels to drive drunk. Pamphlets and break-out sessions to discuss drunk driving are also part of the agenda.
The informational event is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
