The deadline to apply for the Hank Moulder Scholarship is Apr. 30.
The scholarship is for students who exhibit extraordinary Blue Jay pride, like the late Southfield High Baseball Coach Hank Moulder, for whom the scholarship is named.
The scholarship worth $1,000 is awarded annually to two or more seniors. Applicants must have participated in sports or extra curricular activities for at least two years. An essay on school spirit and the importance of being involved in your community is also required.
Interested applicants should see Health teacher Jean Washington for an application.
“I’d like to see students hold up Blue Jay pride and take advantage of the opportunities given to them,” said scholarship overseer Rhonda Moulder, widow of the late Hank Moulder.
