The Fifth Annual Empty Bowl dinner hosted by the Young Humanitarians of Southfield High School was held Nov. 18, in the Blue Jay Café.
The Young Humanitarians made bowls out of clay and decorated them. Then they hosted a dinner where they raised $300 in donations for the artistic bowls and a soup dinner.
“This is the most money we have ever raised,” said Young Humanitarian Adviser Makini Ahket.
The money was donated to the hungry. Ahket added, “If we feed each other, we will never go hungry.”
