Southfield High School is hosting three exchange students this semester. Junior Pedro Menezes hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Junior Queen John is from Nigeria, and junior Niwat “Laign” Apiritnarong is from Thailand. Menezes says, “I like Southfield High because they teach very good,” but he adds, “I miss Brazil. I like to play soccer, and they don’t have soccer here.” The two male students are staying with host family Larry and Patricia Grebel. John is staying with her sister, Rosemary Davis, who lives in Southfield.
