Those eligible to vote should do the entire nation a service and vote for Democrat John Kerry on Nov. 2.
Over his Presidency, Republican George W. Bush has created an unpopular name for himself. Namely, the war in Iraq has caused much controversy surrounding the Bush administration. Bush wanted to go into Iraq not just to fight terrorism, but also to obtain oil. Throughout the war many U.S. troops have lost their lives even after the main fighting was said to be over. Bush was regretful that more troops died, but he still failed to pull the remainder of U.S. troops out of the third world country.
Also, Bush’s father had problems with Iraq during his presidency and that contributed to the reason the U.S. went to war with them. Instead of doing his own thing, Bush decided to go after daddy’s foe and look for “weapons of mass destruction,” which were never found.
Democrat John Kerry, however, has had no relative in the presidency and has no one to try to please besides the American public. One of his largest priorities is providing health care for all Americans, something that Bush hasn’t tried to do. In this country health care is expensive and the lower classes may not be able to afford it, but thankfully someone is trying to look out for the health of all.
If elected, Kerry says that he will provide a fresh outlook for America that doesn’t entail more conflicts with Iraq. Peace between nations is another one of Kerry’s goals, unlike Bush, who jumped to use weaponry to solve conflicts.
The Bush administration has done little that is positive for the United States. The economy is still faltering, the No Child Left Behind program hasn’t proved to help schools, let alone children, and many foreign nations resent America for entering into war in Iraq. In short, the nation is worse ever since he stepped foot in the White House.
So on Nov. 2, do the right thing. Vote out our incumbent president. Instead, vote for John Kerry, a democrat for the White House.
