With an 11-2 record, the Girls’ Varsity Softball team has the best team record at Southfield High so far this year.
The team may even break the school record for the most steals in a season.
“Persistence and dedication bring this team together and gives us wins,” said senior centerfielder Kelly Parker, who has played varsity for three years. “The team members are equally good, and everyone complements each other.”
Parker says, “Lauren Smith (senior) and Brandy Hildreth (junior) pitched some great games for us this year, and Brianna Patmon (sophomore) is doing a good job at filling last year’s all-state player Kenya Sutton’s position as catcher.”
