The urban culture is carving a pathway in the fashion world. The hip-hop look has become more popular than ever. It is like a revolution taking over the clothing racks. This is a fad that has been here, but more are jumping on the wagon now, especially males.
Most of the urban designers are entertainers. The name brands that are most sported in the halls of Southfield High School are Phat Farm, Rocawear, Sean John and Akademiks.
Senior Terence Jackson is among those who sport the hip-hop trend. He owns a blue jean Akademiks outfit from J.B’s for $180 and a matching orange Akademiks shirt from J.B.’s for $30. “I like to look clean every day like it is my last,” said Jackson.
Other places to get this urban look are: Underground Station, Strictly Sportswear, Neiman Marcus, 4 Men and Marshall Field’s.
