ISIS Actions Call for War

Over the past two years a militant group called ISIS has been on a bloody rampage in the Mideast with outrageous actions and killings.
They have been killing Christians and religious minorities throughout Iraq and Syria. ISIS has been shooting adults and kids. In one televised news report, ISIS forced people to lie on the ground and then they drove over the people with tractors in front of their families.
In other acts of violence, ISIS beheaded two American journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in a news briefing said, “They are beyond just a terrorist group. They marry ideology, a sophistication of strategic and tactical military prowess . . . this is beyond anything we have seen, and we must prepare for everything. And the only way you do that is that you take a cold, steely hard look at it and get ready.”
But Hagel left out one very important step: Faith. To have faith in God through this battle with ISIS is what the Lord needs from us. For the people in Iraq to have courage to trust God although their lives are on the line and guns are pointed in their faces should tell many people a lot about the Lord.
The ISIS group claims to be justified in their atrocious acts of murder because the group is outraged over U.S. air strikes targeting ISIS in Iraq. But one of the key concepts that ISIS is not grasping is that murder is not supported at all in Islam. Any murder is seen in Islam as killing the whole of humanity. In fact, Islam is a religion that not only stands on the concepts of peace and justice, but also on the idea that every Muslim ought to live in a state of balance.
To deal with such violence, the USA must prepare for war. ISIS must be stopped.
