Despite the chandelier setting, the burgers at the Freakin’ Burgers restaurant in Farmington Hills come wrapped in paper.

Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers has opened in Farmington Hills, and that’s a good thing for burger lovers.

Despite the casual name, the restaurant has a sophisticated exterior look with its name “Freakin’ Unbelievable Burgers” in bold letters on a gray background. The contrast between casual food and classy touches does not stop there.

Diners eat hamburgers under a chandelier that now hangs in what was once a Burger King restaurant.

Once you enter the doors, the smell of fried foods and burgers invades your nostrils. Beautiful digital HD screens display the menu on the wall above the counter.

A large screen helps customers create their own “Freakin’ Burger” or order one of the restaurant’s speciality burgers before sitting down to be served.

The Beef Freakin’ Burger ($5.69) is juicy and tasty. It comes with a secret creamy sauce that enlivens it. Diners can customize their burgers with an array of toppings including guacamole, cheese, bacon and mushrooms.

Aside from burgers, they serve other foods such as bean burgers, chicken tenders and sides of fried pickles, French fries, and onion straws.

The three-piece chicken tenders ($3.99) were fried to perfection and served with golden French fries in an elegant, tall serving dish.

The drinks vary from soft drinks and smoothies to milk shakes. The Wildberry Smoothie ($3.99) has a delightful taste of sweet berries. The Chocolate Shake ($3.99) was a perfect blend of milk and ice cream to create the right consistency.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The servers were polite. The food arrived at in a reasonable amount of time with no mistakes with the order. The table service is unusual because diners order their food before sitting down, but it is then delivered to the table.

This restaurant might appeal to anyone who enjoys burgers in a sleek setting.
