As we countdown the days, conversation, excitement, and anxiety storm the halls as students embark on their final preparations for the much-anticipated event. From the creations of one’s perfect outfit, organizing transportation and last-minute beauty appointments, the day is filled with a workload of planning.
Among the mass prom attendees, two seniors, Heather and Matthew, were willing to share their thoughts and experiences as they prepare for the SHSA&T Prom. Heather says she is prepared for prom and states, “I should have listened to my aunt about Blackstone nails.” She also fears that her dress will potentially not fit. However, she hasn’t made any last minute changes. Her family and friends play a key role in helping her prepare for “the big day.”
Meanwhile, Matthew’s routine for the day of prom is “the same as any other day” and that the only thing he will like to focus on during his routine is ensuring that his skin is healthier. While he is prepared for prom, the only struggle he’s faced during his preparations is “figuring out the color and style-”. With much excitement flowing through the halls, students make their last minute adjustments and finishing touches to their prom day. After interviewing Heather and Matthew, it’s evident that the night is expected to be full of great fun, memories, and laughter.
