School Clubs Unite in Harmony at Media Day

On August 30, 2018, clubs from all over came together in the gym to give a little taste of what Southfield High School A&T  has to offer. Headlined by Link Crew and the Student Board, every big organization at Southfield A&T gathered together in one big circle to give information about their clubs, look for new recruits, as well as give information about senior dues and the schedule. This year Southfield is really pushing the “Be a Warrior, not an imposter” initiative, emphasizing clubs as a way to teach maturity and give students an early lesson in teamwork and responsibility.

Eleventh grade administrator Jason Solomon added, “I think it’s important because it’s an opportunity for our older students to teach each other to do things the right way.  It’s also important because in terms of our after high school, it teaches students how to be a professional and help others in a work environment.” With initiatives like this, Southfield High School A&T is taking a step in the right direction to make our school feel more like one unit.   We take pride in helping each other thrive to reach levels we never thought possible.  We take pride in becoming one, big family.
