New Hair Store Opens in Southfield
Directly across 10 Mile from Southfield High, Gina Lane & Dennis McKinley opened the new Queen Virgin Remy Hair Store over the summer.
Though the original location was in Atlanta, Georgia, Lane decided to open her second location in Metro Detroit to expand the business and provide more women with good quality hair extensions.
“Business has been very good, as a matter of fact, since we opened in July,” said Lane.
Senior Nijah McNeal has already discovered the new store. “I bought my hair (last month) pre-washed it, and had it installed,” McNeal said.
“When I flat-ironed it, it was so silky,” McNeal said. “When I re-washed it, the original curl pattern came right back. The quality is so nice; I really like it.”
The new store that was formerly a dance studio features display shelves labeled with hair types, all of which are 100 percent human hair.
Hair choices all come in natural black and include Brazilian, Peruvian, Malaysian and Burmese. For Beyonce wannabees, the store also offers Russian blonde locks.
Prices at Queen Virgin Remy Hair start at $45 for one 12-inch bundle, and stop at $90 for one 30-inch bundle.
Patterns and textures are available in straight, wavy, or deep curly.
The store is located at 22090 W. 10 Mile Road. It’s open 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday – Saturday. The store’s phone number is 248-864-8321.

I have not purchased any hair yet, but I think it’s very convenient that the location is across the street from my school.

I’ve felt the hair and it feels great! I can’t wait to try it out for myself.

The hair I purchased from this weave shop worked really well for me. I kept it in for a few months, and it looked new each time I washed it. Being that it is across the street makes it more convienent for students.

They have a fairly wide variety of hair. I love the fact that the hair place is so close to home.

This article is a great article, especially for this new business that has opened. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. Many people from my school have said great things about the product.

Honestly as a guy I dont find this article appealing in this least bit because I don’t believe in using fake hair on myself or for females. So topic wise, I don’t feel like it was a good choice.

This is great for students at Southfield High because instead of having to drive somewhere, we can walk across the street.

I’ve actually purchased hair from this store and I really like it. It is very good hair. I’ve had it for about a month and so far it has turned out very well. I plan on getting more hair from here for homecoming.
