Twitter has been blowing up with photos lately of “Goals for Valentine’s Day,” which include several Michael Kors purses, UGG boots and various “high end” jewelry.
In other words, girls are Tweeting about what they expect to get for Valentine’s Day from their significant others.
This strikes me as being greedy.
The girls have unusually high expectations for expensive Valentine’s Day gifts from their cash-strapped dates, many of whom are still in high school and have no jobs. This basically means the mothers would be buying the Valentine’s Day gifts for their sons’ girlfriends. How weird is that?
Girls that have such high standards for unemployed or burger flipping high school students appear inconsiderate.
There are even girls that expect gifts from boys who aren’t even their boyfriends. It seems like some of these girls get into a relationship right before Valentine’s Day just to receive gifts.
I guess they never learned that relationships should not be based on tangible things; they should be based on love.
Girls who don’t ask for much or anything at all deserve everything, not these mooching females.
Valentine’s Day is for couples to spend time to together, not spend all the money in their wallets.
Greedy is downright unromantic. These girls should be happy with a Happy Meal and a flower.
As for me, I’ll be happy with whatever I get from my Valentine. But I did spend $100 on him for Sweetest Day, just sayin’.
Maybe I’m one of those greedy girls after all. No, on second thought, I’m not. I’m one of those very greedy girls.
Gimme, gimme, gimme.
I deserve it all.
Amen.
