Volleyball Team Rebuilds Strength

Under the direction of three new captains, the Girls Varsity Volleyball team has been rebuilding this year.
Seniors Tailar White, Malaika McCray and Katherine Nealy are leading the team this year, in hopes of making it to the regionals again.
Last year Southfield High made it to regionals but then lost to Cass Tech High School.
Returning veteran White says improving the team’s work ethic is the way to go to the playoffs this year and get past regionals.
“Working hard, staying together as a team is the only way we will win,” White said.
So far this season, the Blue Jays were pleased to be cross-town rival have Southfield-Lathrup.
