The winning streak for the Blue Jays Varsity Basketball Team came to a halt on January 12. After their 10 wins, 0 losses record, they finally fell January 12 in a game with a final score of 56 to 51 against Southfield Christian.
The team usually beats Southfield Christian, but not this time.
“It was an experience that I pray they (the team) will benefit from,” says Basketball Coach Gary Teasely.
Teasely said he discovered during the game that his players needed to have more patience, more respect for authority figures and more trust in each other as a team.
Teasely added that he hopes his team learns from the loss and becomes stronger and realizes that being unified is as important as winning.

I feel that this article was very informative about the Blue Jays’ season. It also talks about how they can better themselves in the season.
