The eight tattoos on the arms of senior Rayshaun Bradley might shock some. His right forearm reads, “Lord forgive me,” implying that he has done wrong in life. But Bradley says the tattoo is a request to his maker for general forginess of whatever he does wrong in life.
Above it is the word “Blessed.” Beside it is the old English “D” that represents the Detroit Tigers baseball team. Finally, on his left arm is the tattoo “RIP Deon” to commemorate his older brother, who died four years ago.
His other arm is less controversial, bearing a familiar map of the Michigan mitten and a Detroit Lions logo to represent his hometown football team.
Some, such as fellow senior Kayla Ford, might consider his billboard arms to be overly tattooed. “It’s not my thing,” Ford says.
But Bradley says the tattoos make him happy.
The Lions tattoo, he says, cost $80, which is less than the admission to some Lions seats and lasts a lot longer than a game, he says. With his tattoo, he gets to see his Lions every day. Best of all, no parking required.
